how to fix word file permissions on Mac. I've recently upgraded for a new MacBook Pro and transferred my data from my previous MacBook via `HD. Unfortunately, when I want to open the word files, I get notification that the documents are read only and I can duplicate them. When I am trying to save a new document to the location I get message that I don't have permission to save it there. I've checked all the settings of the folders concerned and they are read & write. This issue seems to be quite common. Could you please advise how to resolve it? thanks

    Uninstall all Office apps completely
    Open Finder > Applications
Select all Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, etc.)

Download and install through your Microsoft account:

    Go to account.microsoft.com/services**
**Sign in with the Microsoft account linked to your subscription
Find your Microsoft 365 subscription and click Install
Once installed, open any Office app and sign in with the same Microsoft account to activate.

If you purchased your subscription via the App Store, download it through the App Store.

Also install the latest version of the Microsoft AutoUpdate app. There is a link in the support article at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/lifecycle/officeinstall/update-office-for-mac-automatically

If the problem persists, please let me know.
