Hi There,

I could really use some help, since a month +- all my emails in the inbox are gone.
I think it was after an outlook update...
I did looked in all the folders, filters and tried to make a new connection to my account.

I use outlook web version and since today also on my phone.
No emails to be found, inbox is not full , I tried all the recovery's you can find online.

Can someone from Microsoft maybe have a look ? Please.

I can use the account for sending emails and my new test emails also arrive.
But I do not receive any emails from companies who have my email and which I normally received.
These come not forward in my email box.

If I should give some company names from the lost emails please let me know .

    Hi Melanie VR

Please reply with only these details:

    • Are the missing old emails also absent from Recover items deleted from this folder?
    • Do the affected companies receive any bounce-back error?
    • Do those company emails appear if they send to another email address?
    • Is there any unfamiliar activity on the Microsoft account recent activity page?

Please try the remaining checks below:

    1) Check Recoverable Items again from Outlook.com on the web

In Outlook.com, open Deleted Items, then select Recover items deleted from this folder if that option is available.

    2) Check Outlook.com rules, forwarding, Sweep, and blocked senders

In Outlook.com, please check these areas:

    • Settings > Mail > Rules
    • Settings > Mail > Forwarding
    • Settings > Mail > Sweep
    • Settings > Mail > Junk email > Blocked senders and domains

This helps confirm whether messages are being moved, deleted, forwarded, or blocked automatically.

    3) Ask one affected company to check for a delivery failure

Since your test emails arrive but some company emails do not, please ask one of the affected companies whether they receive a bounce-back or delivery failure when sending to you.

    • If they receive a bounce-back, ask them for the exact error text.
    • If there is no visible error and you are not receiving a specific email, Microsoft recommends asking the sender to refer to Sender Support in Outlook.com: Can’t send or receive email in Outlook.com.

    4) Check Microsoft account recent activity

Go to your Microsoft account security page and review recent activity. If you see unfamiliar or unusual activity, secure the account.

    5) Contact Outlook.com support from the affected mailbox

Because the old messages are missing from Outlook.com on the web and the issue also involves mail delivery from certain senders, this may need Outlook.com account-side support.

    In Outlook.com:

    • Select Help.
    • Search for not receiving email.
    • If self-help does not resolve the issue, choose Still need help? > Yes if shown.

Please tell me how it goes. If the problem persists, please don’t hesitate to reply to this thread and I will be happy to help. Have a lovely day!
