Dear Microsoft Support,

My name is [Moderator Note: Personal Info Removed], and I am writing to request your assistance regarding my previous Microsoft account ([Moderator Note: Personal Info Removed]****@outlook.com), which was compromised by an unauthorized individual.

After my Microsoft account was compromised, the attacker gained access to several of my connected accounts and services, including my Xbox account ([Moderator Note: Personal Info Removed]), Google account, Discord account, social media accounts, and other accounts that were linked to my Outlook email. This incident has had a significant impact on both my online security and my personal life.

During the same incident, my brother's Gmail account, which he used to create and manage his Discord account, was also compromised. As a result, the attacker was able to gain access to his Discord account as well. This expanded the impact of the breach beyond my own accounts and affected my family.

What concerns me most is that the attacker used both my Discord account and my brother's Discord account to send fraudulent messages to our friends and family. These messages falsely claimed to be from [Moderator Note: Personal Info Removed] and directed recipients to a website called wesobet.com, where they were told they could claim a cryptocurrency giveaway. The website appeared to display bonus balances, withdrawal confirmations, and cryptocurrency transaction screens that were intended to convince recipients that the giveaway was legitimate. I am deeply concerned that our compromised accounts were used to deceive people we know and potentially put them at financial risk.

The attacker also compromised several other accounts connected to my Microsoft account, resulting in the loss of access to important personal accounts and services. This has been an extremely distressing experience, as the breach affected not only me but also members of my family and people I know.

As I no longer have access to my original Microsoft account, I created this new Microsoft account so that I could contact you directly.

My primary request is to recover access to my Xbox profile and the Microsoft services associated with my original account. However, if recovering my original Microsoft account is not possible, I would respectfully ask whether it would be feasible to restore or transfer the resources associated with that account—including my Xbox profile, game purchases, digital licenses, subscriptions, achievements, saved data (where possible), and any other Microsoft services that can be transferred—to my new Microsoft account.

To assist with your investigation, I have attached several screenshots showing the fraudulent content that the attacker distributed. These attachments include:

  • Screenshot 1: The fake [Moderator Note: Personal Info Removed] giveaway message used to lure victims.
  • Screenshot 2: The fraudulent bonus activation page on wesobet.com.
  • Screenshot 3: The fake withdrawal confirmation claiming that $3,700 had been successfully withdrawn.
  • Screenshot 4: The cryptocurrency transaction screen used to make the scam appear legitimate.

I hope these screenshots will help your security team understand how my compromised accounts were misused.

I would also respectfully request that, if possible, your security team investigate the unauthorized access to my Microsoft account and any related activity. If it is feasible under your policies, I would greatly appreciate any effort to identify the accounts or individuals responsible for the compromise and take any appropriate action to help prevent similar attacks against other Microsoft users. I understand there may be limitations to what information can be shared, but I would be grateful for any assistance your team can provide.

If you require any additional information or proof of ownership to verify my identity or assist with the recovery process, I will gladly provide whatever is needed. I am also willing to provide any further evidence that may assist with your investigation.

Thank you very much for your time, understanding, and assistance. I sincerely appreciate any help you can provide, and I look forward to your response.

Kind regards,User's imageUser's image

    Hi Kehinde Adeyemi

I am sorry to hear about the compromise of your Microsoft account and the impact it has had on your Xbox profile and other connected accounts.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas only.

Since your primary goal is to regain access to the original Microsoft account and associated Xbox profile, I recommend first using the official Microsoft Sign-in Helper to review the available recovery options for the compromised account. If you are still unable to regain access, please submit the Microsoft account recovery form and provide as much accurate ownership information as possible, including previous passwords, Xbox profile details, purchase history, and other account information used with the account.

Recovering the original Microsoft account is the best path forward because Xbox purchases, digital licenses, subscriptions, achievements, and saved data are generally tied to that account. Microsoft accounts cannot be merged, and transferring content to a newly created Microsoft account cannot be guaranteed.

Thank you for providing the screenshots related to the fraudulent activity. While Community Support cannot investigate the incident, the information may be helpful when working through Microsoft's official account recovery and support channels.

I hope you are able to successfully recover access to your original account and services associated with it.

Since this is a public forum, we will hide your personal identifiable information, and I have sent that image of yours containing your personal identifiable information in a private message so we can work together to resolve the issue. Also, please check your private message in case you want to share another screenshot to avoid leaking your PII by click on the Private Message button as show below
