I do not wish to merge my gmail account with Outlook. I seems this is mandatory; is there anyway around it?

Your Gmail account should not be merged with Outlook unless you choose to add it.
- Where are you seeing the message that says this is mandatory?
- Are you setting up the New Outlook app for the first time?
- Is there a “Skip,” “Not now,” or “Use another account” option on that screen?
