The Server Error in /siteapi Application is generated by the OneNote Web Clipper website. The web.config instructions are for Microsoft’s site administrator, so you should not change anything on your PC based on that message.
Please try:
- Open the browser in InPrivate/Incognito mode and test Web Clipper.
- If that works, clear cookies for Microsoft, Office, OneNote, and OneDrive sites.
- Remove and reinstall the OneNote Web Clipper extension.
If the same error continues, the service itself may also be involved. You can use Share/Send to OneNote or copy the content manually for now, then report it through OneNote feedback.
