After window update, suddenly I can not hear sound.

After window updates on 7/16/2026, suddenly sound is not working. I tried reinstall Synaptics audio, Intel(R) Corporation HD Audio Bus Driver, Realtek (R) audio, which was recommanded by LEVONO. Also re-installed repaired window version. However, it works 1 day, and it did not work next day. Please help me.

Hi, when window update happened on 07/13/2026 and sound was not coming out, I found "No audio output device is installed." Therefore, I tried to re-install synaptics audio. Then, it worked maybe one day, and then it did not work next day. My model is E590 (Type 20NB, 20 NC) Laptop (Thinkpad)-Type 20 dB. Serial Nmber PF1NL8MA. Then, I downloaded Synaptics Audio Driver from LENOVO website and restarted my computer. But it works for a while. Also, I tried Windows 11 version 25H2 (repari version) re-installed twice. Everytime I re-installed the Window 11 version, the sound works for a while, but it did not last. Hope you can find an answer. Thanks.

To help determine what's causing the issue, could you please share

What is the exact model of your Lenovo computer? Press Start then search msinfo and open System Information Please take a screenshot of the resulting window and post it in your next response
When the sound stops working, do you see a red X on the speaker icon or a "No audio output device is installed" message?

Open Device Manager

Click View > Show hidden devices

Expand the Sound, video and game controllers

Find the Audio driver in the list

Right click it and select Update

Click "Browse my computer for driver software"

Select "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"

Make sure to put a check mark "Show compatible hardware"

Select an older driver from the list

Click Next then restart your computer

Have you had a chance to try the suggestions from my initial response? If not, please give them a try first and let me know the results.

Also, please check if there are any newer chipset and BIOS updates available for your Lenovo E590 on Lenovo's support website.
