To whom this may concern,

How do I add an ICON for my HP printer to the desktop?

Hi Charles,

I discovered that my solution does

not work. It creates an icon but it doesn't

open anything. If it's an all in one printer,

what does the scanner icon on your desktop open?

Why do you feel you need a printer icon

on the desktop?

I've always just used HP Smart for things.

Is your Printer wired or wireless?

    Let's try a different way.

Open Control Panel and click Devices & Printers.

    Where does it take you?

    Hi Charles,

    This is what I did.

Open Settings, Click Bluetooth & Devices.

Click Printers & Scanners. Then click on your Printer.

Click More Devices & Printer Settings.

Find your Printer & then right click the Printer.

Click Create Shortcut in that menu and when this

    pops up click Yes.
