hey i bought another printer because the last one wouldn't connect and now im having the same issue. it says that locations is locked by admin.... I am admin. how do i allow it so my printer can locate and connect

Hi,
You shouldn't actually need the location system, but if it is asking for it, you can grant permission: go to Start Menu > Settings > Privacy & security > Location (make sure it is on) and also enable the option "Let desktop apps access your location."
What is your printer model? If you use the manufacturer's installation autorun, I might be able to guide you correctly.

Thanks Ivan. It ended up being an issue with my Telstra modem. After having remote access from Microsoft and help from Canon they ended up telling me to check the “band steering”. Which ended up being the culprit.
Printer is working perfectly now.
Turned out I had to call my internet provider to change the “band steering”
printer works perfectly now
