I have a current Microsoft 365 account and have downloaded a word document. Upon opening the document it asks me to activate my Microsoft Word account to make changes to the document. But when I click the 'activate' button and log in to my account it says either an error or cannot link account to activation key.

One important requirement to note is that your Mac must be running macOS 12 (Monterey) or later. If you are using an earlier version of macOS, please update the operating system first; otherwise, the fix may not work as expected.
