I have MS word for Mac 16.107.4. Every time I search for a word in-text it scrolls for 20 seconds. It is ruining my life. I write full time and I do not have any other programs running on my computer. Please tell me how to fix this.

It may be that your cited version of Office [16.107.4] is in need of updates. Version 16.111.2 is the current release.

I'd recommend updating both Office & macOS before attempting to troubleshoot performance issues.

    Hi,

An add-in of Mac might be causing this.

    #1:

    • Open Word.
    • Click Tools in the top Mac menu bar.
    • Select Templates and Add-ins....
    • Uncheck all active add-ins.
    • Click OK and restart Word.

    1. Close Microsoft Word completely.
    2. Open Finder, press Command + Shift + G, and paste: ~/Library/Containers
    3. Locate the folder named Microsoft Word (or com.microsoft.Word on older macOS versions) and drag it to your Desktop.
    4. Restart Word and try searching again.

I look forward to hearing from you to get the results of the troubleshooting.
