Unable to move forward after coming to "verify your account" screen in redeeming microsoft rewards

Okay so Microsoft updated their rewards UI, and changed how people redeem their codes. When I click the redeem button it takes me to the "Verify your account" pop-up. I open the bing app on my phone and scan the QR code it gives for bing app verification, on my phone it goes this page and just doesn't do anything. I've tried click on the redeem button on the phone but it isn't working as well. What do I do now? (I'm redeeming the league of legends giftcard)

Hello, good day and thanks for your question. Sorry to know about this and I understand that you encountered an issue when trying to redeem a reward.

From the Bing app on your phone, use it to scan the QR code and the link would be a blank page and then check if you will be able to copy the link and paste it into a inPrivate or Incognito mode browsing window and check if it would open thus enabling it to complete the verification.

Try these steps in order:

1. Confirm the same Microsoft account is signed in everywhere.
   • Sign out of the Bing app.
   • Sign back in with the same Microsoft account used for Microsoft Rewards.
   • Retry the redemption.
2. Update the Bing app.
   • Install the latest version from the device app store.
   • Restart the phone.
   • Scan the QR code again.
3. Try browser-based cleanup on the device used to start redemption.
   • In Microsoft Edge: Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Clear browsing data now > Choose what to clear > clear cache and cookies.
   • Sign in again and retry.
4. Switch networks.
   • Change from Wi‑Fi to mobile data, or from mobile data to Wi‑Fi.
   • Retry the verification flow.
5. Try another browser or another device.
   • Start the redemption from a PC or a different phone.
   • Use the same Microsoft account.
6. Check common redemption blockers.
   • Do not use a VPN or proxy.
   • Do not use a VoIP number for verification; use a mobile or landline number.
   • Make sure the code entered matches the code sent to the phone.
   • If there were too many failed phone verification attempts, wait 48 hours before trying again.
   • Redeem only in the same region as the Microsoft account. Rewards cannot be redeemed while traveling in another market/region.
7. If the League of Legends gift card is not consistently shown, it may simply be unavailable for now. Some gift cards are not always available, and support cannot provide restock timing.
