MIcrosoft Rewards not rewarding full points for Xbox activities for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscribers. Bugs?

I just signed in to the Xbox mobile app for rewards points and I got 10 instead of the 24 for Game Pass Ultimate Subscribers. And that's not the only thing. I can't earn for playing a Game Pass game and I get 5 points for playing a console game, and I am a Game Pass Ultimate Subscriber. Is there a problem going on about this on Microsoft's end? I just want to know what's going on here.

Same problem here. The points show up normally with the subscription. But when you go to claim them and click the button in the app, the points change, and it only awards the regular points, without the subscription bonus.

I already opened a support ticket.

and They’ve been “checking” it for days… You can probably forget about it.

Until users start speaking out publicly together, they’re not going to fix it. After all, this is a benefit that is “granted” to users who actually pay for it. When there’s a problem, they should fix it. This is literally SOLD as part of the marketing. It’s a bonus, but it’s a paid benefit tied to Game Pass. It should work. Otherwise, it’s misleading advertising.

It’s advertised in the app, in the marketing materials, etc. It’s complicated.

I've spent about £100 pounds in the last month and am getting no reward points and Microsoft our not replying to my emails it's making me think of stop buying games off them

Since Rewards eligibility and earning history are account-specific, they can only be reviewed by the Microsoft Rewards Support team. If you previously received a support request or ticket number, please reply to the same email and include that number so the team can continue reviewing the existing case. It may also help to check your Junk or Spam folder in case their response was filtered there.

If no support request was created, please submit one through the official Microsoft Rewards Support form.

Please avoid posting your email address, ticket number, or account details publicly in this thread. I genuinely hope the Rewards team reviews the missing points and gets back to you soon.

I understand how frustrating it can be to receive fewer points than the amount shown, especially when you have an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

Please try the following:

Make sure the Xbox app, console, and Microsoft Rewards dashboard are all signed in with the same Microsoft account that has the active Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
Check your subscription status under Services & subscriptions in your Microsoft account.
Open the activity in the Xbox app and review its specific requirements. For game-related quests, make sure the game is included in the Game Pass library, play it for at least 15 minutes and then return to the Rewards section to claim the points.
Update the Xbox app, sign out and back in and then check the activity and points balance again.
Avoid using a VPN or changing the account region while completing Rewards activities, as earning opportunities and rates may vary by region.

If the activity specifically showed 24 points before you completed it but only 10 points were added or if an eligible Game Pass quest still does not register, please contact Microsoft Rewards Support and include screenshots showing the activity, the advertised point amount, the points received, and your active Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Microsoft Rewards Support is the appropriate team to review the earning history and eligibility associated with your account.

This isnt a user end issue as its also happening to me. I have a Premium sub and no issue downloading or playing Game Pass games but Rewards is not registering the sub and things like Play 4 Game Pass Games says LOCKED and Requires Game Pass Subscription. Im also only getting 5 points instead of 10 on both PC and XBOX

Still happening on 4th September 2026 this is ridiculous got 5 points for playing a pc game not full 20 and today xbox xbox console points halved and play a game on console refusing to unlock
