I had the same issue as among others @John Skelly , @Danny Phillips and @Melanie Thomas regarding the access to ancestry (see: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5721654/cant-open-ancestry-com-says-pretty-print

and

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5740631/i-get-the-following-when-trying-to-sign-into-ances). As the threads are locked, I am posting my solution here.

For me it seems that ancestry did not trust my IP address. As I did not have a VPN turned on, the solution was to access ancestry via the free VPN of firefox.

Hi mrza mrza,

Thank you so much for taking the time to come back and share what worked for you. Information like this can be very helpful for other community members who encounter the same "pretty-print { }" behavior when accessing Ancestry website, especially since the original threads were already locked.

Based on what you've described, this does seem related to how Ancestry handles connections from certain IP addresses / network providers. The fact that the problem persisted across multiple browsers and devices, yet was resolved when connecting through VPN, suggests that changing the public IP address altered how the connection was routed or recognized.

In situations like this, a VPN can sometimes bypass routing, filtering, geolocation, or trust-related issues between a website and an internet provider. That would also help explain why standard browser troubleshooting did not resolve the issue for some users. Hopefully your workaround gives others another way to continue if they see "pretty-print { }" page on Ancestry!

Thanks again for sharing your experience with the community! Have a good day!
