Note: Office 2019 and earlier are no longer supported. Their certificates expired and can only operate in read only mode. To purchase or upgrade you need MacOS Sonoma (v23) or later.
I had to update my OS to get Microsoft 365 to install. Problem fixed. Thank you
Which version of macOS are you using?
Is it a Microsoft 365 subscription? If so, did you buy it from the Microsoft Store or the App Store?
MacOS Sonoma 14.3.1. I purchased it directly from Microsoft
Uninstall all Office apps completely Open Finder > Applications
Select all Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, etc.)
Download and install through your Microsoft account:
Go to account.microsoft.com/services Sign in with the Microsoft account linked to your subscription
Find your Microsoft 365 subscription and click Install
Once installed, open any Office app and sign in with the same Microsoft account to activate.
