Charge on PayPal account?

Question

I woke up this morning to a surprise charge and too large of a charge from my personal bank account?

What is the charge for?

Why was it taken from my personal bank account and not my credit card?

Why was it $120.75 for a "Personal" account?

First, go to https://account.live.com and sign in to your Microsoft account.

Open Services & subscriptions and check whether you see a subscription that matches the PayPal charges.

If you do not see anything there, open Order history and check whether the payments appear there.

If the charges appear on your Microsoft account but you do not recognize them, you will need to contact Microsoft Billing Support. Billing and account details are private, so no one in this community forum can access or investigate them.

On your computer, open the Get Help app from the Start menu. Type Billing, select Contact Support (at the bottom) and follow the prompts until you are given the option to chat with a Microsoft support agent.

If the charges do not appear anywhere on your Microsoft account, the PayPal payment may have been used on a different Microsoft account. For example, someone may have gained access to your PayPal account or used your PayPal payment information without your permission.

In that situation, contact PayPal and report the payments as unauthorized. You can usually do this through the Resolution Center in your PayPal account.

Microsoft Billing Support normally cannot give you information about purchases made through someone else's Microsoft account. However, once PayPal opens a dispute, PayPal can contact Microsoft through the proper payment dispute process. This allows both companies to verify and investigate the transaction securely.
