Cannot find the "More Controls" function under the "Developer" tab in PowerPoint 365 Premium. In the recent PowerPoint versions "Developer>More Controls>Windows Media Player" is available. How can you apply this function in the latest PowerPoint 365 Premium version?

    Hi @Orlando S. Farase,

In current Microsoft 365 versions, ActiveX controls are considered a legacy feature and are disabled by default. When ActiveX is disabled, PowerPoint cannot create new ActiveX objects or interact with existing ones, which may explain why More Controls or Windows Media Player is unavailable.

You can try the following steps: File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > ActiveX Settings

Select Prompt me before enabling all controls with minimal restrictions, restart PowerPoint, and check Developer > More Controls again.

If More Controls is still missing, right-click the ribbon and select Customize the Ribbon. Under Choose commands from, select All Commands, locate More Controls, and add it to a custom group under the Developer tab.

If it remains unavailable, it may be blocked by an organizational policy. For new presentations, consider using Insert > Video > This Device, since Windows Media Player ActiveX is a legacy solution.

I hope this information is helpful and provides some clarity. Any updates or questions, please feel free to comment below.

    Thank you for taking time.
