printer issues

my printer is connected to the correct wifi and is the same as my pc and my phone, i can print from my phone but no matter what steps i take, my printer consistently says it's either unavailable, idle or driver is unavailable. but even if i get to the print page, it only gives the option of save to pdf and that is all.
