Hiya,

I have a new laptop I'm trying to setup. I've created a new, personal, account to sign in with. I've checked for spelling mistakes and password issues, but I keep getting the error message "oops something went wrong" when trying to sign in.

I then try to sign in using name, creating password, and adding security questions, but I just get the same error message.

What can I do to try and amend this?

Are you currently at the initial setup process (OOBE) to enter your user account details and unable to complete the process to setup Windows to get into Windows?

If so, this may be caused by a network problem, try this process to bypass setting up a Microsoft account and setup a Local account on the new laptop so you can then get into Windows.

Press Shift + F10 to open Command Prompt. then in command prompt run this command and press Enter, you will then be able to setup a Local account, get into Windows and check your Internet connection.

    start ms-cxh:localonly
