Hello,

I am experiencing a problem with my Microsoft 365 subscription on my Mac.

About one month ago, I renewed my Microsoft 365 subscription for one year through the Apple App Store. The payment of 489.99 RON was successfully charged to my credit card, and my Apple Account shows that the subscription is active until June 1, 2027.

However, when I open Microsoft Word, I receive the message:

"Subscription Required to Edit and Save. Start your free one month trial of Microsoft 365 or sign in to activate an existing subscription."

When I click Activate and then Restore Previous Purchase, the process fails and I receive the error code 0x0.

I have already:

  • Verified that my Apple subscription is active.
  • Confirmed that the payment was successfully processed.
  • Signed in with my Microsoft account.
  • Tried restoring the purchase multiple times.
  • Restarted the application and my Mac.

Despite having a valid and active subscription, Word still behaves as if I do not have a license and asks me to purchase Microsoft 365 again.

Could you please help me activate my existing subscription? I can provide screenshots of my active Apple subscription, the payment confirmation, and the error message if needed.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Kind regards,

Mariana Andrei
