Every time I try to run this update the following statement occurs. "Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x80073712)"

Windows for home | Windows 11 | Windows update

It is a preview so you should be able to ignore it and wait until next month if you wish. Preview updates should be optional, you don't have to install them.

Error 0x80073712 is caused by a corrupt component store. A repair installation via Settings should resolve the issue.

Launch Settings > System > Recovery. Under "Fix problems using Windows Update", select Reinstall now.

This does a repair installation, keeping your files, apps, and settings.
