How to go directly to a URL in Microsoft Edge on Galaxy

I have two internal servers on my network, but I'm unable to reach them using //servername:port because Edge INSISTS on doing a web search instead of just going to the url as entered. This is also a frustration with actual web addresses, but at least the website I entered usually shows up as the first search result. The web search, however, does not find my server.

I've tried everything I can think of, and can't access my internal servers on my cell phone.

Try with https://servername:port or http://servername:port

Thank you @Pavle Peković - but that's certainly the first thing I tried. I've tried every possible combination, with and without the port. I even tried using the IP address instead of the servername ... and it just re-directs to a websearch with results that say "192.168.1.29 is typically a device on a home or small office router"

Hm. I just tried http://192.168.1.1 using Microsoft Edge on Android and it got me to my router. Could you pls try your router instead of your server? Also, pls try with other browser, just to make sure that the problem is Edge.

Ok ... interesting update ... when I clicked on the link from your post, I can get to the router (and it opens in Edge, as that is my default browser). But when I enter http://192.168.1.1 into Edge directly, it also goes to the search results.So I sent myself an email with links to //192.168.1.29:8899 and //Erasmus:8899, and both links work fine, opening the page in Edge!!!

:8899 is the Jellyfin media server port, but I also tried it without the port number and I get the same overall results ... it goes to the Ugreen NAS admin page. Edge works fine clicking on a link, but when I try to put the url directly into the browser itself, it goes to the search results.

UPDATE ... it appears that once I've successfully accessed the URL from the link, the connection is cached and then I'm good!

Interesting. Not the best, but some kind of solution could be to add the address to favorites and use it from there?

Thank you for your assistance @Pavle Peković - yes, it's workable for now. At least I'm not completely locked out like I was. It seems to be more of a policy decision, rather than a technical limitation, to always 'search' instead of going directly to a web address.
