Request to Update Legal Name to Match Aadhaar

Hello,

I have a Microsoft DP-700 exam scheduled on August 5, 2026.

My Microsoft certification profile currently shows:

• First Name: Bhargavi
• Last Name: Kada

My Aadhaar card and educational certificates display my name as Kada Bhargavi.

Pearson VUE advised me to update my legal name so that it matches my government-issued ID. However, I am unable to edit my legal name in my Microsoft certification profile because the fields are locked.

Please update my legal name to match my Aadhaar or advise me on the correct procedure. Since my exam is scheduled soon, I would appreciate your urgent assistance.

For your information, this is a public forum and your post is visible for the whole wide world. However, no one who sees your post will change your legal name. If the legal name fields are locked, the supported procedure is:

1. Sign in to the Microsoft Learn profile that is tied to the exam registration.
2. Open Settings: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/users/me/settings
3. Follow the prompts under Legal Name.
4. If the page shows a message to contact Certification/Credentials Support, submit a ticket with the Credentials Support team.

Relevant details for this scenario:

• The legal name on the certification profile must match the government-issued ID presented at the exam.
• If an exam is already scheduled, changing the legal name may require Microsoft support approval.
• The first and last name used to register must match exactly the first and last name on the ID presented on test day.
