    Hello,

In Word, Excel, or PowerPoint on your Mac:

    1. Create a new file and select File > Save As.
    2. Select On My Mac instead of OneDrive.
    3. Under Place, select Other.
    4. Choose the local folder you want, such as Documents or Desktop.
    5. Check Set As Default Save Location, then save the file.

Future files should default to that folder on your Mac. You may need to repeat this in each Office application.

Files stored only on your Mac will not use OneDrive AutoSave or cloud version history, just want to point that out.
