Sending, receiving, and organizing email in Outlook.com
Hello Matt McGilvray
I understand how disruptive this is. Your Outlook.com account can still send and receive junk mail, but legitimate emails have stopped arriving across the web, laptop, and phone, despite storage, rules, and forwarding already being checked.
Without repeating the checks already suggested, could you confirm whether this affects all legitimate senders or only certain addresses or domains? Please also ask one affected sender whether they receive a bounce-back message, and share its exact error code with personal details removed.
If several unrelated senders are affected and their messages never appear anywhere, contact Outlook.com Support while signed in:
- Go to Contact Us - Microsoft Support
- Select the product or service you're having issue with.
- Click Get Home Support
- Type a brief description of your issue in the search box.
- Click Get Help and select Contact Support below.
- Go to the Products and services tab and choose the appropriate product.
- On the Category tab, choose the appropriate category or an alternative option.
- Go to Confirm.
- Look for and select "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" (during business hours) if available. Explain your situation clearly.
Please kindly note that this is a public user-to-user forum, I do not have the ability, tools to inspect mailbox-level delivery logs or account-specific server settings. Thank you so much for your understanding.
