Additional calendar-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
Hi @Smith ,
Thank you for reaching out regarding Microsoft Bookings.
You do not need to change the employee's permanent availability in Microsoft Bookings. Instead, you can use the Add time off feature. This allows you to block a staff member for a specific day or period of time, and once the time off has ended, their regular availability is automatically restored.
For more information, please refer to Microsoft’s documentation: Schedule business closures, time off, and vacation time
To add time off for an employee:
- Open Microsoft Bookings.
- Select the relevant Bookings calendar.
- Navigate to the Calendar view.
- Click Add time off.
- Enter a title, such as Annual Leave.
- Specify the start and end date/time.
- If the employee is absent for the entire day, select All day event.
- Choose the staff member who will be unavailable.
- Select Save.
The selected staff member will be unavailable for bookings only during the specified time-off period. For full-day absences, using the All day option will ensure the entire day is blocked.
I hope this information is helpful. If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach again.
Thank you for your understanding, and I wish you a wonderful day ahead.
