Our Public Organization identity validation for Azure Artifact Signing (Trusted
Signing, RP Microsoft.CodeSigning) has moved to "Validation Fail". The portal shows
the failed status but no reason/detail, and the notification email from
azure-noreply@microsoft.com also has no reason.
We completed Verified ID / Face Check successfully. When additional documents were
requested, we uploaded a combined PDF: a signed domain-ownership / authorization
letter on company letterhead (signed by our CEO and CPTO) plus the domain
registrar renewal receipt.
Could someone from the Artifact Signing team help me get the SPECIFIC failure
reason and the exact remediation before I resubmit? I'd like to avoid a blind
delete-and-recreate. I can share the Identity Validation ID, subscription ID,
tenant ID, account name, and the request's contact email PRIVATELY.
Two things I'd like confirmed or ruled out, since they're the only discrepancies
I can see:
- The registered address was entered on the request without the street suffix
("... Lone Hollow") but the registrar receipt shows it with the suffix
("... Lone Hollow Dr."). Could a name/address string mismatch cause the failure?
- Our domain's WHOIS is privacy-shielded (Domains By Proxy), so the public
registrant doesn't read as our LLC. Could the domain-ownership cross-check have
failed for that reason? If so, I can temporarily lift WHOIS privacy before
resubmitting.
Environment: Public cloud, Artifact Signing, Public Organization validation.
