Hi Support,

I am using Office Home & Business 2019. It contains Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.

The issue in Outlook and configured outlook as Microsoft Exchange.

When i try to search the sent emails in outlook , i am getting the inbox emails. i don't want the inbox emails. When i try to search any emails, it should show sent emails only and should not show inbox emails.

Simultaneously, when i try to search Inbox emails, it should show only Inbox emails and should not show sent emails.

The outlook web interface is working and shows only sent emails when i try to search emails.

The issue with Outlook 2019 and request any settings to be configure/modify.

Looking forward for your support at the earliest.

Regards

Hi Pradeep R

Please note that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to hide your personal information in the description. Kindly ensure that you hide any personal or organizational information the next time you post an error or other details to protect personal data.

I understand that Outlook 2019 is showing Inbox messages even when you search from Sent Items.

Please open Sent Items, click the Search box, and then select:

Search tab > Scope > Current Folder

After selecting Current Folder, the search should display only messages stored in Sent Items. When searching the Inbox, open the Inbox first and use the same Current Folder option.

Outlook also provides wider scopes such as Current Mailbox and All Mailboxes, which can cause messages from other folders to appear.

If the incident continues, go to View > Reset View while in the Sent Items folder, then retry the search. You can also check File > Options > Search > Indexing Options to ensure Microsoft Outlook is included.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.
