We have the original 25-character product key for Microsoft Project 2016. However, we are unable to access the Microsoft account previously used to activate the software.

Kindly advise whether we are required to sign in using the original Microsoft account to reinstall and activate Microsoft Project 2016, or if you are able to verify the license and assist us using the product key and our company information instead.

Based on the information you provided, you still have the 25-character product key, but you no longer have access to the account that was originally used to redeem it. Unfortunately, Project 2016 must be reinstalled using the account that is associated with the license. In this situation, it could be a Microsoft account (personal account).
