Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

To switch from an Office 365 Family Subscription to Personal, follow the steps here-

    1. Cancel your Office 365 Family Subscription:
    • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with your Microsoft account.
    • Select your Office 365 subscription, and click Manage.
    • Then, click 'Cancel Subscription'.
    • Your subscription will automatically expire on 19th August.

You can then subscribe to Office 365 Personal after the Family subscription expires.

Canceling your Microsoft 365 Family subscription does not end it immediately. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period.

So, in your case, if you cancel the subscription on August 18 and then purchase a new Microsoft 365 Personal subscription on August 20, it should switch without any issues.

However, if you've shared your Microsoft 365 Family subscription with family members, they will lose access to the Microsoft 365 benefits and services once your subscription ends.

Let me know if you still need more help.
