Microsoft Edge for Game Bar error: Something went wrong. Please select "Update" to start a new session.

Today I tried to launch Microsoft Edge Game Assist in overplay but this error popped up and I can't get rid of it. It used to work perfectly before. I tried: clearing the cache, reinstalling Game Bar, uninstalling Edge and reinstalling it, checking Windows for errors, checking for updates (everything is fine, they are up to date), and setting the browser as default.Screenshot 2026-08-03 034452

    Hello εхçlυsιvε ρลgε Tabacco ツჩჩტ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Before we proceed further, can you please try to create a new Edge profile, set it as Default and resetting Game Bar and try again? Also, can you please go to Event Viewer right after reproducing it and check if there are any logs about the issue in application?

    I'm waiting for your reply.
