Same issue here, edge for game bar started having this exact same problem with one of the latest updates.

Today I tried to launch Microsoft Edge Game Assist in overplay but this error popped up and I can't get rid of it. It used to work perfectly before. I tried: clearing the cache, reinstalling Game Bar, uninstalling Edge and reinstalling it, checking Windows for errors, checking for updates (everything is fine, they are up to date), and setting the browser as default.

Please check on the Application section for entries at the time of the issue. The apps name should be EdgeGameAssist, msedge or Xbox game bar.

2026-08-07T19:10:29.4233333+00:00 Was about to check today in the event viewer, but the issue got resolved for me with latest updates of yesterday. The edge for game bar now works and I can visit any website. Awesome! :D

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.
Before we proceed further, can you please try to create a new Edge profile, set it as Default and resetting Game Bar and try again? Also, can you please go to Event Viewer right after reproducing it and check if there are any logs about the issue in application?
