Uknown Error message Appears When I try signing in to Microsoft Account via Microsoft Word

Hi Microsoft Team,

I'm having trouble logging into my Microsoft account through Microsoft Word. An error message keeps on appearing saying 'Unknown Error'.

I have the latest Microsoft Word App downloaded on my Macbook Pro, 13 inch M1, 2020. I've never experienced this problem before. Please help.

    Thank you Nicolle for the information.

    Microsoft 365 can run on macOS Ventura 13 only by using an older Office version.

    Microsoft ended support for Ventura with Office version 16.101, released in September 2025. Newer Microsoft 365 installations and updates require macOS Sonoma 14 or later.

    Uninstall your current Ms365, then downgrade to version 16.101 by using this installer.
