How to Fix FAIL Installing Copilot ??

Question

At first i have copilot at my laptop dell 5130 latitude 2in1, but i can't use it, because there is a message "this version not supported need to download/upgrade to newer version", then i try donwload at play store, and microsoft website, but still fail. so i uninstall the old copilot completely, but after that, the problem still occurs, i can't install it anymore it said "please download newer version" .
anyone can help?

I'm sorry to hear you're running into this.

Please check your Windows version and build number by pressing Win + R, typing winver, and pressing Enter.

If you're running an older Windows build, Copilot may require a newer Windows version and Microsoft Store framework updates before it can install correctly. Also make sure all Microsoft Store updates are installed from Microsoft Store > Library > Get updates. The issue can sometimes appear as a generic "please download a newer version" message when the underlying Windows components are out of date.

If the problem continues, please post:

• Your Windows version and build (from winver)
• Whether you're using Windows 10 or Windows 11
• A screenshot of the exact error message

That will help determine whether this is a Windows compatibility issue or a Microsoft Store installation problem.

Try this in order:

1. Reinstall Copilot from the Microsoft Store
   • On Windows 11: go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
   • On Windows 10: go to Settings > Apps.
   • If Copilot is still listed, uninstall it.
   • Then reinstall it from the Microsoft Store.
2. Reset Microsoft Store if install keeps failing
   • Press Windows key + R.
   • Type wsreset.exe and select OK.
   • A blank Command Prompt window opens briefly, then Microsoft Store opens automatically.
   • Search for Copilot in Store again and try installing it.
3. Check whether the app is available for the device/region Microsoft Store can hide or block apps if:
   • the app is not available in the current country or region
   • the app is not compatible with the device
   • the PC needs a restart after recent Windows updates
   • the PC is not authorized to use Microsoft Store apps
4. If Copilot was installed before but would not run correctly Uninstalling and reinstalling the app is the supported path. Copilot can be removed from Settings and reinstalled any time from the Microsoft Store.
5. If the issue continues, run the built-in troubleshooter
   • Open the Get Help app.
   • In the search bar, enter Copilot connectivity troubleshooter if the app installs but cannot connect.
   • Follow the steps shown.

If the problem is specifically that Microsoft Store always says to get a newer version, the most relevant next step is resetting Microsoft Store with wsreset.exe, then retrying the install.
