Welcome Janet A,
I understand how frustrating it can be when you can receive Microsoft account emails, but you cannot sign in and connect to Microsoft services to play your games on your Windows 11 PC.
Before proceeding, I would like to narrow down the issue:
- Are you signing in with a Microsoft account or a local Windows account?
- Does the sign-in issue occur in all Microsoft apps (Microsoft Store, Xbox app, games), or only in a specific game?
In the meantime, you can try these steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
Option 1: Run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter
- Open Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters
- Run Windows Store Apps
Option 2: Reset the Microsoft Store
- Press Windows + R
- Type wsreset.exe and press Enter
- Wait for the Store to reopen
Option 3: Check date, time, and region settings
- Open Settings > Time & language > Date & time
- Enable Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically
Option 4: Reconnect your Microsoft account
- Open Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts
- Remove and then add your Microsoft account again
Option 5: Repair Gaming Services
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps
- Locate Gaming Services
- Select Advanced options > Repair, then Reset if needed
I hope the steps above help you deal with your issue.
