The screenshot shows that OneDrive is rejecting the Personal Vault.lnk shortcut, not necessarily the Personal Vault or the files stored inside it. OneDrive treats this shortcut as an unsupported item name or file type, so the sync error will continue as long as the shortcut remains in a OneDrive-synced location.

Please try the options below to remove or rename items that OneDrive considers invalid:

1. First, sign in to OneDrive on the web and make sure you can open Personal Vault and see your files.
2. Open File Explorer, select your OneDrive folder, and look for Personal Vault.lnk. If the shortcut is not visible, check OneDrive on the web and its Recycle Bin.

Either:

• Delete Personal Vault.lnk from the OneDrive folder, or
• Move it out of any OneDrive-synced folder to a local-only folder (for example, somewhere under C:\Users\<user>\ that is not part of OneDrive sync).

If desired, create a new shortcut to Personal Vault in a location that is not synced by OneDrive.

1. If Windows will not let you delete it, right-click the OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area near the clock. Select the Help & Settings gear icon, choose Pause syncing, and then select Quit OneDrive. Delete the shortcut and reopen OneDrive.
2. After removing or moving the file, let OneDrive rescan; the sync error should clear once the unsupported item is no longer in the synced scope.
