Are you using Office on a Windows PC or on an Apple Mac computer?

    1

If you are using the Office apps on an Apple Mac computer:

What version of Microsoft Office do you have, is that a subscription to Microsoft 365 or a standalone version of Office like Office 2019, 2021 or 2024.

At the top left of your Desktop, click the Apple icon and select 'About this Mac', what version of MacOS is installed on your computer?

    2

If you are using the Office apps on a Windows PC.

    Open Word.

At the top right of Word, log out of Office.

Restart (not shut down) your PC, then log back into Office, is your licence/subscription then recognized correctly.

If not, log into your Microsoft account on this link, is your Office licence listed correctly there, or if that is a subscription, check the expiry date listed on your subscription, is that listed correctly.

    https://account.microsoft.com/services/

If not, go to the Payments and Billing section, is it indicated your payment has been processed correctly.

    Hi SAJID,

I understand that you are unable to access the Excel file on your system and that this is affecting your ability to work.

To help me investigate the issue, please provide the following information:

    • The exact error message you receive when attempting to access the Excel file.
    • Whether the file is stored on your local computer, a network drive, OneDrive, or SharePoint.
    • Your Microsoft Excel version.
    • A screenshot of the error message, if possible.
    • Whether you are able to open other Excel files successfully.

Once I receive these details, I will review the issue and provide the appropriate troubleshooting steps as quickly as possible.

I appreciate your cooperation and look forward to assisting you.

    Kind regards,
