A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
Hi Kai-H,
Thank you, unfortunately none of your suggestions worked. I have escalated the case, hopefully they can sort the mess out, none of which I have caused.

My 350GB cloud-only music folder completely vanished from my personal 1TB account right after a password change. My storage meter dropped by 350GB, but there is zero history of deletion or movement in my 'Restore OneDrive' activity log or standard Recycle Bin. How do I restore the missing folder? Do I need to escalate this to a tier-2 technician to check my server index and pull a server snapshot backup before my 14-day data retention window expires?

Hi, Jonathan Sankey
A password change should not delete OneDrive files. Since the storage usage dropped by 350 GB and no deletion appears in the activity log or Recycle Bin, this may be an account or service-side issue rather than a normal sync problem.
Here are some suggestions you can try:
First, sign in at https://onedrive.live.com/ using a private browser window. Confirm the account email is correct, then search for several individual music file names, not only the folder name. Also check My files, Shared, Personal Vault, and the online Recycle Bin. OneDrive recommends the website as the main place to search because it shows what is actually stored in the cloud.
If the folder is still missing, avoid resetting OneDrive, unlinking devices, or uploading another folder with the same name. Contact https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/home/contact, select Microsoft 365 and Office > Technical Support, and request an account-level investigation. Provide the folder name, approximate last-seen time, password-change time, and screenshots of the storage meter and empty activity log.
You can request escalation, but forum moderators cannot inspect server indexes or snapshots, and server-side recovery is not guaranteed. The documented recovery window for Microsoft 365 subscribers is up to 30 days, not 14 days, so contact support promptly.
Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.
