Error in redeeming the points

Is there a work away on redeeming the points i earned? it says error when i try to use one

I understand how frustrating it is to earn enough points and then run into an error when trying to redeem them.

To help narrow this down, could you let us know:

• What is the exact error message or error code you receive? A screenshot would also help, but please hide any personal or account information.
• Does the error occur with every available reward or only with one specific reward?
• Were any points deducted after the failed attempt?

In the meantime, please try signing out of your Microsoft account, closing the browser completely, and then signing back in. You can also test the Rewards redemption page in an InPrivate/Incognito window, clear the site data and cookies for Microsoft Rewards, or try a different browser or device. If possible, switching to another internet connection may also help determine whether the issue is related to the current browser session or network.

Please avoid making repeated redemption attempts within a short period, as that may make it harder to determine the status of the request. Common causes for Microsoft Rewards redemption errors are:

1. Wrong verification code: make sure the code sent to the phone matches exactly. If there were too many failed phone verification attempts, wait 48 hours before trying again.
2. Phone number already used too many times: one phone number can be associated with a maximum of 6 accounts per household. If that limit was reached, use a different phone number.
3. Using a VoIP number: Microsoft Rewards redemption requires a mobile or landline number. VoIP numbers are not allowed.
4. Region or travel issue: Rewards points must be redeemed in the same region as the Microsoft account. Redemption can fail while traveling or if a VPN/proxy is being used.
5. Reward unavailable: some rewards or gift cards may be temporarily out of stock.

What to do:

1. Try redeeming again without a VPN or proxy.
2. Use a mobile or landline number, not VoIP.
3. Confirm the account is being used in the same country/region where the points were earned.
4. Check Order history on the Rewards page to see the order status.
5. If the reward code was already issued, open Order Details from Order History and use Resend if needed.
6. If the reward itself is not showing or available, check the Redeem page again later.
7. If the problem continues after checking the above, contact Microsoft Rewards Support.
