How to convert Microsoft 365 Family (personal) invoice to a business account with VAT number

Question

I have registered a Microsoft 365 Family subscription under my personal Microsoft account. The subscription was actually paid using my company's bank card, and for accounting purposes I need invoice to be issued to the company (with company name and VAT ID), not to me personally.

Since this is a consumer/Family subscription, I understand the checkout doesn't have fields for company name or VAT number.

Could you please advise:

1. Is it possible to add company billing details (name + VAT) to an existing personal/Family subscription, or does this require switching to a Microsoft 365 Business subscription instead?
2. If a Business subscription is required, can my existing Family subscription data/licenses be carried over, or would it be a separate new purchase?
3. Is there a way to have future invoices issued with the company as the billing entity while keeping the same Microsoft account for sign-in?

As this seems to be a billing related issue I would like to recommend starting an online chat with support via https://support.microsoft.com and click on Contact Us then follow the instructions provided until you reach a person. Explain the issue to them and if they're able to help you out they will do so.
