How do I speak to a real human customer service worker

I cannot log in to my Microsoft account because I don't have access to my 2 factor authentication phone number anymore. I had to get a new phone number so I physically cannot see the code at all. I can't speak to customer support because to do that I need to log in to said account and when I called the phone number the AI/robot assistant referred me back to the website which I can't use as I stated above. Now everytime I call any Microsoft phone number it doesn't even prompt me to ask any questions, it just automatically says "to get sign in help, got to ___" and gives me the website again. How do I speak to a person and resolve this? I've spent hundreds of dollars on this account on XBOX and am currently still being charged for the gamepass.

    Hello vienna foutch,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Unfortunately, when an account is protected by 2FA, it means that normal recovery way is not possible. You will whether need to somehow get the code from the old computer. Or if your account is still logged in somewhere, change the verification methods.

I'm not sure if Microsoft Support could help in this. However, If you want to chat with a live agent, you can follow these steps.

    • Type Live chat in the search box.
    • Now click Get help, and Select Contact Support or Sign in to contact support below.
    • Go to the Products and services tab, and choose Other products
    • On the Category tab, choose Billing and Account Profile questions
    • Go to Confirm.
    • You can now choose the option of Chat with a support agent on your web browser.

    Thank you for your understanding.

There are no real human customer service workers to talk to.

Microsoft contracts with third party services to talk or chat with customers, but there are only a limited number of them, and more than a billion users of Microsoft products and services.

For better service, you should ask in a community forum, like Microsoft Q&A, or find a local user group, or search the Internet, or use artificial intelligence, or hire a professional, or take a course. I have done all these things.
