how can i reload a program previous on another computer?

When you mention reloading a program that was previously on another computer, do you happen to remember the name of the program? Also, is it a built-in Windows app, a Microsoft Office application or software that was originally downloaded from a website or purchased separately?

I have Windows 10. I need to find a version of Micro Publisher that i can continue to use to open files. I have old disks of publisher and a Office 2000 with publisher on it. I read that there is a 365 2021 with a version of Pub that can continue to be used. I need help, i as many others love Pub. Thank you

Thank you for providing those details. I understand how important Microsoft Publisher is, especially when you have years of existing Publisher files that you still need to access and edit.

Microsoft Publisher was included with certain perpetual versions of Office, including Office 2021, and it is also available through some Microsoft 365 plans. If you have a valid license for a version of Office that includes Publisher, installing that version may allow you to continue opening and working with your existing .pub files. Since you still have older Publisher and Office installation media, the key consideration will be whether you have a valid license and whether that version is supported on your current version of Windows.

To help identify the best option for your situation, could you please let me know:

Which edition of Microsoft 365 or Office you currently have installed, if any?

Whether you only need to open and print the Publisher files or if you also need to edit them?

Your Windows 10 version and build number (press Windows + R, type winver and share a screenshot or the version information).

Also, please note that Windows 10 reached end of support on October 14, 2025. Devices running Windows 10 no longer receive regular security updates from Microsoft. If your PC is eligible, I recommend planning an upgrade to Windows 11 to help keep your device secure and compatible with current Microsoft applications.

Microsoft no longer sells the 2021 version. Where can i purchase it safely.
