A family of Microsoft presentation graphics products that offer tools for creating presentations and adding graphic effects like multimedia objects and special effects with text.
I understand how confusing this must be, especially after upgrading to Microsoft 365 Premium and still being prompted to upgrade in PowerPoint. This may happen if PowerPoint has not refreshed the new subscription information or is signed in with a different account.
To narrow this down, could you please confirm:
- Is the account signed in to PowerPoint the same account that purchased Microsoft 365 Premium?
- Are you the subscription owner or was the subscription shared with you by someone else? Please note that the included Copilot features are available only to the subscription owner.
- Does the same message appear when using PowerPoint on the web or only in the PowerPoint app on your Mac?
- Does Copilot work normally in other Microsoft 365 apps, such as Word?
In the meantime, please try the following:
- Update PowerPoint and the other Microsoft 365 apps through Microsoft AutoUpdate.
- Open PowerPoint, select PowerPoint from the Mac menu bar, then select About PowerPoint > More Info > Refresh License.
- Close all Microsoft 365 apps completely, reopen PowerPoint, and make sure the account shown in the app is the Microsoft 365 Premium subscription owner’s account.
- Sign out of any additional personal or work accounts temporarily, then test Copilot again with only the licensed account signed in.
While my initial response may not fully resolve the issue, I truly appreciate your cooperation as we work together toward identifying the most effective solution. Thank you so much for your understanding.
