Microsoft Bookings allows booking on weekends

I am setting up a Booking page. The availability in my staff profile and in my services are setup so that Saturday and Sunday are not available.

But the actual booking page appears to ignore these as it has days and times outside of my selection.

Seems a little odd - so far the only solution I have found (and implemented) is to use Calendly.

Anyone else aware of this bug and/or found other workarounds?

I can honestly say I have no idea what is going on in Bookings.

For the items that you mentioned, yes I had checked these before I posted and they were all setup correctly with the options that I wanted but not reflected on the actual booking page.

But now its getting weirder - I now have 2 Event Types - none of which I created nor do they have an availability that I set and I even took a screenshot of my previous schedule as evidence but I can't see this anywhere now and I also can't seem to access the same screen as I had before (both the admin view and the booking page). I also now seem to have a different URL that is being provided to me for making a booking which is different look to before so I don't know what is going on.

2 hours I have spent looking at this vs 6 minutes in Calendly and already had 2 client bookings confirmed with it.

I appreciate the help and feedback and the time you took to respond, but I am going to pass on Bookings and strongly recommend everyone else do the same.

    Dear @Timothy Bassett

I understand your concern. If your Booking page is showing appointment times on Saturdays and Sundays even though those days are unavailable, there are a few areas worth checking. If possible, please try creating a new shared booking page and try again.

Microsoft Bookings determines availability based on several settings, including Business Hours, Staff Availability, and Service Availability. If one of these settings still allows weekend availability, it can result in booking slots appearing unexpectedly.

In the meantime, please help me check these settings and save changes again:

Step 1/ Business Information > Business Hours: Ensure Saturday and Sunday are marked as closed.

    User's image

Step 2/ Services > [Service Name] > Edit Service > Availability options > Choose "Bookable when staff are free

    User's image

Step 3/ Staff > [Staff Member] > Edit staff: Check whether Use business hours is enabled. For reference: Adding staff availability in Microsoft Bookings

Note: Make sure that the business and staff time zones are configured correctly, as time zone discrepancies can sometimes cause availability to appear on different days

Screenshot shows the option to use business hours when adding staff availability in Bookings.

If you have already updated the availability settings, please save all changes and allow a few minutes for Microsoft Bookings to synchronize and apply the updates.

Once the updates have had time to process, please navigate to the Booking page section, copy the booking page URL displayed there, and open it in a new private/incognito browser window to verify the availability. This helps ensure that you are viewing the most recent version of the booking page and not a cached version.

If the issue persists, please send us screenshots of: The service availability settings, The staff availability settings, The booking page showing the unexpected weekend slots, and the Business Information > Business Hours settings. I'll be happy to review the configuration and help identify the setting that is overriding your availability.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I'm looking forward to your update.
