Dear @Virgil Sango,
To help me narrow down the exact cause and give you the most accurate solution, could you please let me know if you are seeing any specific error message or error code when PowerPoint fails to open? If so, sharing a screenshot or the exact text would be very helpful.
In the meantime, I recommend trying these initial troubleshooting steps:
- Press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
- Type
powerpnt /safeand press Enter (note the space before/safe). - If PowerPoint opens successfully in Safe Mode, the issue is likely caused by an incompatible add-in. Go to File > Options > Add-ins, select COM Add-ins at the bottom, click Go, and uncheck all add-ins to isolate the problem.
If PowerPoint fails to open even in Safe Mode, please run an Online Repair to fix corrupted program files:
- Right-click the Start button and select Installed apps (or Apps & Features).
- Scroll down and locate Microsoft 365 (or Microsoft Office).
- Click the three dots next to it, select Modify, choose Online Repair, and click Repair.
For detailed official guidance, you can refer to Microsoft's support documentation on repairing an Office application and "Something went wrong" error when you try to start a Microsoft 365 app.
Please let me know if the issue persists after trying these steps.
