I had just gotten an email notifying me that i have until 14th October to renew my PL-300 certification. Upon locating to the site that has the Take the renew assessment. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/data-analyst-associate/renew/. It was said that this account does not have the certification however, I only own one gmail account which is for first impossible for me to bind to another account for second, that it emailed me this. I also used this gmail to sign up for the exam, very confusing matter. Would want to know if anyone has the same problem? Any fixes?

This usually means the certification is tied to a different Microsoft Learn profile than the one currently signed in, even if the renewal email was sent to the same contact email.

    What to check:

    1. Sign in to Microsoft Learn and open Profile from the avatar menu.
    2. Go to Certifications and look for the blue Renew button on the PL-300 certification.
    3. If PL-300 is missing, verify that the current Learn sign-in is the same profile that holds the certification.

    Important detail:

    • The email that receives renewal notifications can be the Contact Email on the Learn profile.
    • That email is not always the same as the login account used for the certification profile.
    • If multiple Learn profiles were created at some point, the certification may be under a different profile even if notifications still arrive at the Gmail address.

    Recommended next steps:

    1. Try signing in to Learn with any other Microsoft account that may have been used when registering for the exam, including a work or school account if one was ever used.
    2. Confirm the certification was fully earned and should appear on the profile.
    3. If the certification still does not appear, contact Microsoft Credentials Support for help with a missing credential or profile merge/account migration.

    Also note:

    • Renewal is only available during the 6-month eligibility window before expiration.
    • The only way to renew is by passing the free online renewal assessment on Microsoft Learn.
    • Once the certification expires, the renewal option is no longer available and the certification must be earned again by passing the required exam(s).
