    Hi,

To isolate the issue, please try using a different internet connection. Then, open an InPrivate window (Ctrl + Shift + N) in your browser and try signing in to your account using the link below:

    https://account.microsoft.com/

Can you access your account successfully there?

    Try these checks in order:

    1. Verify which password Outlook expects.
      • For an Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, or MSN account, use the Microsoft account password for that email address.
      • For Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, or another mail provider added to Outlook, use that provider’s password.
    2. Test the mailbox in a browser first.
      • If sign-in also fails there, the issue is with the account password or verification, not Outlook.
    3. In new Outlook, remove and add the account again.
      • Go to Settings > Accounts > Your accounts.
      • Select Manage next to the affected account, remove it, then add it again.
    4. Repair or reset new Outlook if the password prompt keeps looping.
      • Go to Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Outlook (new) > Advanced options.
      • Try Repair first.
      • If that does not help, use Reset, then open Outlook and add the account again.
    5. If this is classic Outlook instead of new Outlook, check these common causes:
      • Make sure Caps Lock is off.
      • Confirm the username is the full email address.
      • If the password was changed recently with the email provider, update it in Outlook.
      • Some accounts require the password to be changed periodically if it has expired.
    6. If Outlook shows Need Password every time or cannot create a profile, check this setting in classic Outlook:
      • The issue can occur if Allow Office to connect to the Internet is not selected under Trust Center Privacy Options.
    7. If using Outlook 2016 with Exchange 2013, install the latest Office updates.
      • In Outlook, go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
