when is end of live for Microsoft BC on premise

We use Microsoft business dynamics on premise for the software Relion. When ends the Microsoft support for business dynamics? Actually we use BC 28.2.

If your Relion solution is running Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises version 28.2, the Microsoft support lifecycle for the 28.x release ends on October 13, 2027. Version 28.x is the 2026 release wave 1 of Business Central.

The date applies to the entire 28.x major version, not specifically to minor update 28.2.

Microsoft uses the Modern Lifecycle Policy for Business Central on-premises version 15 and later. Under this policy, your organization must keep the installation reasonably current with Microsoft’s released updates to remain fully supported.

As of August 5, 2026:

• BC 28.2 was released in June 2026.
• Microsoft subsequently released BC 28.3 in July 2026 and recommends installing the latest available update because it includes previous hotfixes and regulatory updates.
• The 28.x lifecycle end date remains October 13, 2027.

There are potentially two different support timelines:

1. Microsoft support for the underlying Business Central 28.x platform Ends October 13, 2027.
2. Support for the Relion application, customizations, and extensions This is normally determined by your Relion software provider or Microsoft partner. Their supported version policy could require you to install particular Business Central cumulative updates earlier than Microsoft’s final lifecycle date.
