I've seen other posts like this.

I used this account for 2FA login just a month ago, so I'm guessing this lockout is to do with not logging directly into the Azure portal?

Please, can I have that account recovered? I can follow the steps below to submit the details, but who exactly do I message? I'm struggling to find human support through Microsoft:

Recovery Steps and Next Actions

  • If less than 20 days have passed since your tenant was blocked, please provide the following details via private message for further assistance:
    • Tenant ID
      • Subscription ID (if available)
        • Error and correlation ID from the failed login
          • Timestamp of the failed login attempt
          • Description of business impact and reason for recovery
          • If more than 20 days have passed, the tenant has been permanently deleted and cannot be restored.
            • To prevent this in the future, regularly sign in to your Azure tenant to keep it active and avoid automatic deletion due to inactivity.

    Hello tenshinhan_san,

Greetings! Thanks for raising this question in Q&A forum.

The AADSTS5000225 error usually means the Microsoft Entra tenant has been marked inactive and blocked. Recovery is only possible if the tenant is still within Microsoft's recovery window and requires backend validation from the Microsoft team.

    Collect the following details:

    • Tenant ID
      • Subscription ID (if available)
        • Full error message, Correlation ID, and Request ID
          • Timestamp of the failed sign-in attempt (UTC)
            • Brief business justification for restoring the tenant
In the Q&A thread, do not post these details publicly. Instead, wait for a Microsoft moderator to engage and provide a secure private message option. If you have access to a support plan, you can also open a support request through the Azure portal or Microsoft Support and provide the same information for a backend recovery review. If the tenant was blocked less than 20 days ago, the support team can check whether restoration is still possible. If it has exceeded the retention period, the tenant may have been permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

The next action is owned by the Microsoft support/moderation team, as forum members cannot restore blocked tenants. They will review the tenant status and confirm whether recovery is available.
