How do I transfer my windows activation from one PC to another

I have a product key from buying Windows 10 several years ago. I also have a Microsoft account but I can't seem to link the product key to the windows account. When I go to settings there is no "activate account" option. When I try to boot up the new computer, it says that the product key is being used on another device. I tried to wipe the product key and the product ID from the old PC using Command Prompt but I still could not install on the new PC. Any help?

On the new PC, open the Settings App.

Go to System - Activation.

Click the Troubleshoot button.

Select 'I changed my hardware' do you see the previously activated device in the list to move the licence to the new PC?

If that process is not successful.

Download the free ShowKeyPlus app from the Microsoft Store.

On the left of that app, click 'Check Edition', then enter your product key into that app.

Please provide a screenshot of that app window and please hide your product key in the screenshot.
