    Hi,

An alias is also known as an email address.

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft account at https://account.live.com/names/manage.
    2. Under Account aliases, locate the alias you want to remove.
    3. Select Remove next to the alias.
    4. Confirm the removal.

Please note that If the alias is an Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, or Live.com email address, removing it permanently deletes the alias and it cannot be reused.

I look forward to hearing from you to get the results of the troubleshooting.

To remove the old email from a Microsoft account, first make sure the new email is added as an alias and set as the primary alias, then remove the old one.

    Steps:

    1. Go to the Manage how you sign in page for the Microsoft account: Edit account info.
    2. If the new email is not already listed, select Add email and follow the prompts to add it as an alias.
    3. Under Account username, select Make primary next to the new email address.
    4. Select Remove next to the old email address.

    Important:

    • A primary alias must be changed before the old primary alias can be removed.
    • A primary alias cannot be changed to an email address that is associated with a work or school account.
    • If the old alias is a Microsoft domain address such as @hotmail.com, @live.com, @outlook.com, or @msn.com, removing it permanently deletes that alias and it cannot be added to any Microsoft account again.
    • If the old email is from a non-Microsoft domain, it usually becomes available immediately to be added as an alias on another Microsoft account after removal.

If the old email is only added inside Outlook and the goal is just to stop using it in the Outlook app, remove the account from Outlook separately. That only removes it from the app and does not delete the actual email account.
