    Try this in order:

    1. Restart the Print Spooler service.
      • Press Windows key + R
      • Type services.msc and press Enter
      • Find Print Spooler
      • Right-click it and select Restart
    2. If that does not help, clear and reset the print spooler. This removes stuck print jobs.
      • In the taskbar search box, type services and open Services
      • Double-click Print Spooler
      • Select Stop and then OK
      • In the taskbar search box, enter %WINDIR%\system32\spool\PRINTERS
      • Delete all files in that folder
      • Open Services again
      • Double-click Print Spooler
      • Select Start
      • Set Startup Type to Automatic
      • Select OK
    3. Check whether the OneNote virtual printer is present.
      • OneNote (Desktop) is installed by default with the OneNote Windows app.
      • OneNote (Desktop) - Protected is installed by default only in OneNote Windows app version 2410 and later on Windows 11 version 26100 or higher.
    4. If the OneNote printer is missing or was removed, uninstall and reinstall the OneNote app to restore it. Make sure notes are synced first to avoid losing unsynced changes.
    5. If printing still fails in Microsoft 365 apps, repair Office.
      • Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps
      • Select Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Office
      • Select Modify
      • Run Quick Repair first
      • If the issue continues, run Online Repair
    6. Restart the PC and test printing again.

If the printer shown in the print dialog is a virtual printer such as OneNote (Desktop) instead of the actual printer, printing may not go to paper. In that case, select the actual printer from the printer list.
